I had previously read on forum that it was possible to leave and re-enter Tower of London on the same day. I was wondering about this because I was thinking of visiting Tower of London on a day that Tower Bridge would have opening. After posting on this forum I was informed I would get a better view outside Tower of London.
The post I read concerning re-entry was a few years old so I e-mailed message on the Tower of London website. Got an e-mail back this morning which stated "I’m afraid that this isn’t the case – we have switched over to an electronic ticket scanning system so this wouldn’t be possible."
Thought I would post this in case someone else might think it was possible to leave and re-enter Tower of London. This may also be the case somewhere else that has changed ticketing systems in recent years.

Thanks for the info. Yes, things do change. When we were in Amsterdam in 2015 the Museum Card was good for one year for anyone who purchased it. I read recently that they shortened the time frame, and a few other details, for tourists but not for residents. Always good to check the individual websites for up-to-date info.

Inside the Tower, you should be able to get a good view of Tower Bridge opening from the portion of the wall walk on the southern wall, above the middle drawbridge.

That's a bummer about the Amsterdam Museum card. I was able to use it for a trip in June 2015, then again for June 2016 trip. Just squeaked under the 365 days.
In fact I had actually lost ( or tossed) my card out, had no idea I'd be going back in 2016. I had the receipt but not the card, I asked nicely at the couple places I wanted to use it in 2016 and they accepted the receipt.
