The Northern Rail Flash sale is back- £2 fares on direct journeys on any of their routes for travel between 9 September and 23 October. Book by 5pm UK time on 4 September. £2 fares are not available where a change of train is needed- so for instance Carlisle to Lincoln is not possible for £2, but may be for £4 with the change at Leeds.
Only certain trains on each route are included, and no further railcard discounts, but for instance there are £2 fares at the time of writing on the Leeds to Carlisle Settle and Carlisle line.
In some cases railcard discounted Advance Fares will be cheaper.
