North Cotswold

My wife and I are visiting North Cotswold area and plan to stay in Moreton-in-Marsh (4 days) and Broadway (3 days). We are considering 2 more days either in Winchcombe or Chipping Campden. One of our days in Broadway we had planned to walk to Chipping Campden so if we stay in Winchcombe we'd still have a day to tour CC. Staying in Winchcombe we would visit Sudeley Castle and hike to Cleeve Hill.

Any advice? Worthwhile to visit Sudeley Castle? to hike from Winchcombe to Cleeve Hill?
What sights are worth seeing if hiking from Chipping Campden? Blockley?

Thank you in advance.

Sudeley Castle is well with the visit. Cotswold Way National Trail is great from Winchcombe to Cleeve, the hike up to Cleeve is steep, but the view from Cleeve Hill is amazing. The Cotswold Way National Trail is six miles from Broadway to Chipping Campden, the views from the Trail is outstanding. My friend I walked the whole trail in 2014.

Robin,
We stayed in the Volunteer Inn in Chipping Campden. Great rates and there is a nice pub and Indian restaurant there.

Don't miss going to Broad Campden, it is close to Chipping Campden (south). It is a small village with all of the building having thatched roofs. Broadway is nice. We didn't go to Sudeley Castle, but loved Stratford Upon Avon.

Thank you for the responses from both forum members.

Robin Z - can you add to your response regarding hike to Cleeve Hill? Although the view is spectacular, what were your impressions along the way? - it's 4-5 miles and I've not found many photos or comments other than the view.

thanks in advance.

You don't stay when you are traveling but in response to your query about Sudley Castle the answer is yes.
Stayed in Winchcombe in an AirBnB a few years back near Christmas. It was all dolled up with colored lights in the gardens and decorations in the interior. Fabulous.

I also hiked from Winchcombe to the Broadway Tower which I throughly enjoyed. Took a bus back to Winchcombe.

Enjoyed a pleasant dinner one evening at the Corner Cupboard Inn. Mostly I liked the White Hart Inn for dining and drinks. Yummy treats at the North Bakery.
