Dang, how did I miss that? Bus will be slower. Might have to just extend my stay past Monday.
Thanks for the warning-how do you find out about closures? We will be there soon, I should check to make sure all my planned trips are ok.
Ferrin, you can look on tfl.gov.uk
You can also subscribe and every Thursday will be sent a list of planned weekend closures on tube, bus, rail, dlr, etc.
I would be looking at the bus that goes from Heathrow Coach/Bus Station to Victoria Coach Station in London. (Cost: about 6 pounds per person) Just walk up and buy a ticket at the bus station window, board the bus at the stalls outside Heathrow bus station. Take carry on bags onboard with you. The driver will put any large luggage in a locked compartment under the bus. Arrives at Victoria Coach Station in London, which is right next door to Victoria train station, where you can catch the tube. Or walk or take a taxi onward once you arrive at the coach station.
I think Robin meant this link: https://tfl.gov.uk/
Just adding, this is the specific page on the TFL site that you will want to check

You can either enter a date or you can scroll down to the section labeled ”Planned closures and service changes” to see upcoming planned works.
Does the Piccadilly line often suspend service on long weekends?
Happens a few times a year I guess.
Well, I'm glad we already reserved the Heathrow Express for $11.20. I'll bet the taxis will be busy.
I wonder if there is a good way to walk from Heathrow to Piccadilly? It would be a good workout and shake off the jet lag.
Thanks Pam, I didn’t caught my typo. I corrected it.

It's for track maintenance. Weekends and bank holidays are used to much rail work. I get hit tomorrow, Saturday, traveling out of Glasgow. I have to take a bus 90 minutes to connect to the train. Ugh.

It's about 17 miles from the airport to Piccadilly Circus. Have fun walking it. If you can find a route.
