My boyfriend and I will be in London to celebrate NYE this year. We want a terrific view of the fireworks, as this is the MAIN purpose for our visit to England. We are wanting to find a location to have a sit down dinner, and basically settle in for the evening. We have looked into the Paramount but unsure if the viewing will be close enough. Realizing that things will book up fast, we are doing our research now and ready to buy tickets/make reservations as soon as they are available. We really do not want to stand outside elbow to elbow on the bank and would rather have a more intimate affair. Suggestions? Riverboat? Paramount? Thank you very much :)

To add to Emma's comments about transport - the tubes are running but will be very busy, and virtually the whole of the West End will be a bus free zone with services starting from the edge of the area.
