New Trains for LNER from London Kings Cross

Many of the foreigners on here ask about trains in the UK. The LNER (London North Eastern Railway) last week started to bring into public service their new Azuma express trains - which will operate to the popular destinations of York & Edinburgh among other places on the eastern side of Britain. GWR (Great Western Railway) operating out of Paddington to places such as Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Hereford and the south-west, have already acquired similar trains. For those that are interested, here is the LNER version:> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ME_AO9nMvak

And - a brief look at them on the GWR:> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGXboGzZiXI

Today is the day that the last HST services run on GWR - tomorrow they will all be IET. Although there are some short sets running at a restricted maximum speed of 100 mph through the south west.
