News in this weekend- From 20 July until 5 September, North Riding bus services 82, 83 and 84 from York will be extended from Ripon to Fountains Abbey, providing a bus up to every hour during the daytime, Monday to Saturday.
Dalesbus provides the Sunday service.
This is a very good opportunity to easily visit Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) easily without a car, and also break the journey to visit the City of Ripon and it's much neglected Cathedral.
This is a genuinely innovative bus service, and will be far and away the best ever bus service to Fountains Abbey.
Note the 82 to 84 already run from York to Ripon, basically hourly- already the best York to Ripon service in a long time.
