There has been an archaeological excavation at Carlisle this week, which has found a previously unknown Roman road. Previous work on the site also found a bath house.

Although not stated in the article this is at Carlisle Cricket Club, in the Stanwix area of the city (north of the City Centre). There is currently (until 11 November) an exhibition on at Tullie House museum in Carlisle featuring the finds from previous work at the site. Tullie House does also have a permanent exhibition about the Roman history of the city
