Aslef drivers with LNER will strike for an additional 5 days from 5th Feb as a response to the company applying minimum service standards for the already announced 1 day strike.

And announced today is a 5 day strike from 27 January by RMT union rail workers working for Hitachi who maintain the LNER Azuma trains at Doncaster, Bounds Green (London) and Craigentinny (Edinburgh), concerning an offered 6% pay rise.
Thus if a train develops a fault during that time it may take longer, or not be possible to repair it.
If all three strikes go ahead this could be a difficult period for LNER.

The 5 day strike by LNER from 5th February has been cancelled after the company confirmed that it would not apply minimum service standards to the 1 day strike already announced. However that 1 day strike on 2nd February is still going ahead.
