Today Stage 3 (the final phase) of Bus Regulation has gone live in Manchester.
All buses are now Yellow (as all in London are red) and all routes are specified by the Mayor as in London.
All Single bus fares remain at £2, and all such tickets are now Hopper tickets as in London- change to as many other buses as you like within 60 minutes by scanning the QR code on the paper ticket.
There is also an all bus day ticket for £5 valid to 0359 next morning.
The Manchester trams are divided into 4 zones, and there are also now a range of combined tram/bus tickets for combinations of the zones as well as a new Train/Bus/Tram ticket valid across Greater Manchester for £11.20- effectively the London travelcard (not valid on trains only before 0930 or between 1600 and 1830 on weekdays).
Longer period tickets are available on a smartcard- for a week or a month.
The weekender tram only ticket for £6.80 (all trams from 1800 on Friday to end of service on Sunday) also continues.
