New Airport Hotel at Manchester Airport

There is a new and usefully located hotel at Manchester Airport- the Tribe Hotel.

It is an Accor Group Hotel, and is across the street (on what is apparently called Chicago Avenue) from The Station (the combined bus and railway station)- a very well signposted 5 minute level walk.

I was at the airport yesterday and had an hour on my hands due to a cancelled rail connection so went exploring and found it.

It part opened last October, and fully at Christmas.

It's location means it is accessible to all terminals on foot via The Station.

where would you put The Tribe in the pantheon of Accor? That's a new one to me....

The brand is new to me, and I only found out it was Accor this morning, before writing this post. Externally nothing said Accor so I was surprised.

I suppose a new building would, but it looked very smart and attractive, and also has plenty of parking.

Accor say it is mid range, and I did a dummy booking this morning for around one months time, at around £100- so price wise rather higher than the PI or Travelodge (or the Ibis Budget across the street at T2, not that you can cross the street on foot), but rather less than those either in the airport itself or out towards the car rental village. So an interesting addition, on the face of it.

Apparently the brand originated in Australia 8 years ago, and there is one other UK property at Canary Wharf (also news to me).

They are also in France, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Latvia, Amsterdam, Cambodia, Thailand and Indonesia - so a travellers report (if anyone has stayed at any of their properties) would be useful, I think.

Thanks for this! I searched this forum just yesterday for MAN airport hotel recommendations, and found nothing recent. This is a bit over my budget, but definitely worth considering since it's walkable. Thanks so much for your very timely intel!
