I could have sworn I saw an answer to this over the last 6 months, but I'm not coming up with it. My husband is attempting to purchase a digital Two Together Railcard through the Railcard app. It won't let him proceed without a UK phone number. It looks like the number is optional when entering our names, but he reaches a point where a phone number is needed and every time he switches it to +1 or 00, it switches back to 44. Is he entering the number wrong? Is there a work around? I remember having a similar problem when buying tickets for something in London and I can't remember what I did to make the site let me enter a US number. Thanks.
I’ve been asked for local addresses or phone numbers before. I usually will plug in a hotel address or phone number. Never had a problem and always worked.
Thanks. Third (or fourth or fifth) times the charm. It accepted our US phone number and we have our railcard. Apparently he hadn't tried +1, just 00. So I'll leave this up for anyone else having problems.
Whilst what you did may work, they aren't going to call so any number will do
