Need train help to Highclere Castle

Have tickets for Highclere on Sun, May 28, with entry between 2:30 and 4PM. Coming by train from London. Looking at National Rail site. Paddington to Newbury at 10:03 looks like a plan. There's a country fair at Highclere that afternoon, and I'm not sure how long we'll want to stay. I see returns to Paddington without changes at 17:21 and 19:24. There are four of us traveling and the total price appears to be 4 x Adult - Off-Peak Day Return totaling £80.40. (GroupSave)

  1. Am I interpreting this correctly?
  2. Can I ticket for the 17:21 and take the 19:24 if we want to stay, and vice versa?

The 1003 is change at Reading
I would catch the 1036 direct, which arrives just 6 minutes later.
The fare is right. The fare is right. You can ticket for that train, but can travel on any earlier train as early as the 0646, and can travel back on any train that day. It is a fully flexible ticket, as late as the 2323.

Thank you so much!! I definitely wanted a direct train. I usually make a mistake somewhere when I'm doing trains!
