Need ETA confirmation.

I booked a flight with BA from Montreal to LHR then 3 hours later, i connect a flight from LHR to Bucharest (Yes also with British Airway).

Since I'm connecting a flight, my initial thought is that I do not need the ETA if i understood the ETA website, am I correct?

One thing I noticed is I arrive in Terminal 5 from my flight from Montreal, but I need to be at Terminal 3 for my connection to Bucharest. I read somewhere that when you're at a different Terminal, I would need to apply for ETA.

It confuses me.

If your flights are all on one ticket you will be able to stay airside and will therefore not need an ETA.

If the flights are two separate bookings, even if they are both on BA, you will need to transfer land side, collect your bags, pass through immigration and then transfer to T3 and re-check yourselves and your bags. In this case you would need an ETA. And 3 hours might very well not be long enough.

It's on the same booking ticket. So i guess no need to apply, thanks.

Just make sure you follow the purple signs at Heathrow that will take you from terminal to terminal without going landside/ through immigration. You will probably have to go through security again, but that’s different.

How it works is this......when you land at Terminal 5 you follow the Flight Connections signs and will board a bus to Terminal 3.

At Terminal 3 you will go through security and then be free to go to your gate.

You will stay airside, not have to go through immigration and will not need an ETA.
