We will be in England for 8 days and are thinking about getting a Britrail England senior pass for this period of time. We will be going from the Cotswolds up to the Dales and traveling around up there for about a week. Then back to Heathrow to head home.
The 8 day Britrail England pass seems like a good option. It appears that it will be cheaper than buying several point to point tickets.
Frankly, I am finding the whole rail system quite confusing and would like some advice about this.
Thoughts?

Have you read what The Man in Seat 61 has to say? I find his information about ticket buying and passes to be very helpful. For example, he often recommends the Two Together pass. Here is the link:

what's before the Cotswolds? How will get there? How will you get around while there (where is there?)
Derbyshire Dales or Yorkshire Dales? How will you get around there?
How many is "we"? Two seniors? Mobility issues?
