Navigating the Circle Line

I want to make sure I don't get lost on the Circle line and I remember Rick saying that a lot of people get mixed up on it.
If I want to go from St. James Park to Bayswater, looking at the tube diagram, I would think I'd look for trains terminating Edgeware Road going westbound. Is that wrong? (Somewhere I read that to go west on the circle line you want trains labeled east? what?)

Thank you!
{I would search the forums for this but the search doesn't seem to be working in forums.}

The Circle Line is an oval with a tail hanging off to the west at Paddington.

Forget E/W or N/S for this one.

Look at the line diagram as you enter the station to figure out the relative direction.

Double check the station sequence on the platform.

As you move along compare the station names to the diagram above the car windows.

If you screw up, get off and turn around at no charge.

Quit thinking about it. You'll probably decide to do something different, anyway.
