Overnight (UK time) there was a nationwide issue with booking Advance rail tickets (the cheap, train specific ones) and making seat reservations.
Walk up fares were still available.
The LNER website/app were reported to be particularly badly affected.
The issue was resolved mid morning and all systems should be working as normal now.
