National Railway TravelCards - 2 for 1 Attractions

Hi there,
We will be in London for 4 full days in June and really struggling to figure out the Travelcard vs Oyster Card and 2for1 coupons. I was told there are two for one coupons available when a paper travel card is purchased from the National Railway. But now I just read the paper travelcard has been discontinued, is that correct and what does that mean as far as two for one coupons for attractions such as Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, Windsor Castle, St. Paul's Cathedral etc.?

We are not avid travelers and this is our first trip to London. We are off to Paris after our time in London. Is the Kings Cross area the only place to get the Eurostar train to Paris from London? I'm hoping that is the only place. One less decision I have to try and make. Lol!

Thanks in advance.

The Paper Travelcard still exists at this current time, although there are discussions (and they are no more than that) to discontinue them, in favour of capping on Oyster/Contactless.
That would really affect Commuters, rather than Tourists. The effect on Tourists would be minimal.
See this page about the 2 for 1 scheme, which goes into a lot of detail- https://www.londontoolkit.com/whattodo/london_travelcard_2for1_discussion.html

Please read it and the hyperlinked pages on it carefully as there are quite a few hoops to jump through.

Yes Eurostar only departs from St Pancras Station, which is across the road from Kings Cross Station- the two share a tube station- KIng's Cross St Pancras.
Within the station there are separate sub surface exit routes to King's Cross and St Pancras main line stations.

The paper zonal 7 day travelcard within London went off sale in June last year. The one day version still exists but at £15.20 is expensive for travel. You can use paper tickets to a London main line terminal and Oyster / contactless payment methods for your actual travel
