I finally decided to go ahead and get tickets from London to Dover. I used nationalrail.co.uk. I was then transfered from the site to southeast something or other. It just keeps spinning on processing payment. I used my wise card for purchase. But the site also never asked me for personal info ei: email or anything.
Anyone know what i did wrong?
South Eastern Railway - just had a look. Right at the top of the payment page it asks for your email.
Initially the site froze for me , so possibly just a glitch.
I missed the e mail line at first try as well.
Wise may not work over here, but you can also pay by Pay Pal (not many train companies do that) or Google pay.
At least with Pay Pal there is no issue with needing to have a code for your card texted to you, which can be an issue.
If that doesn't work you could just default to LNER to purchase.
Thanks. I did find the link to register. Still said there was an error processing after doing so. Could I get to london and buy tickets from a station/ticket booth for the same price? It'd be 2 days in advance by then. Or is there a different/better way to proceed? Getting tickets for march.
Have you tried simply using your credit card?
I haven't. Wise already has the exchange on it and id rather use it.
I mean, if using my debit/credit card is really the only option, ok then. But if not now with wise, is it out of option to think I can just get tickets when I get to London, at the same price I see now? Would I be able to use my wise card at a ticket booth then?
I'd agree with Carol's suggestion just to use your normal credit (or debit card). Is your Wise card set up for two factor authentication? Normally it's a push approval in the Wise app.
Id rather not use my regular card.
There is the 2 verification on my card. Nothing in the app. Which makes me think the site isn't even getting that far.
With that, it brings me back to, can I just get the same ticket/price if I wait till im there? Which is on a Thursday and plan to go sat? And then use my wise card at the time of purchase.
Sorry, I've only ever had experience with the card on tap in/out on the underground and a prepaid ticket to Scotland. All of which I had no problems
Where did you buy your ticket to Scotland from? Assuming it was a train you took just use the same site again, maybe LNER or Avanti West Coast? You can book all UK train tickets from any rail operator site.
Thank you. I didn't realize I could use avanti. Got everything booked. Thank you lots 👍👍
