Has anyone been? Just looking to get an idea if it is worth the hefty admission price.
The NPG is one of my favourites and I’m glad it has reopened.

All the free galleries and museums offer exhibitions at a charge - and £22 (£5 if you are under £30) is probably midpoint.
As to its worth, if The Beatles and McCartney is your thing, then a first view of personally taken pictures seems decent at that price to me. Not my cup of tea but I would certainly pay that for similar from an artist I was interested in.
Haven't been but it is getting decent press reviews - but then the authors weren't paying.
Yes, I looked at what I paid for the Kensington Palace entry and exhibition and it was more. I didn’t bat an eye.
Not quite the same experience....get the book at Costco!
Here are a couple of paying punter reviews of the exhibition, they seem to enjoy it and think it was worth the money.

The entrance cost is not excessive by central London standards.
Yes, it is worth the admissions charged.

Back in '87 while writing a Beatles pilgrimage article for a Toronto newspaper, I visited Macca's business office 'MPL'. That gesture was part of my completist approach--it was not really necessary coz there was nothing to see there. But I could not resist from doing a silly prank before leaving. Buzzing the office, I asked the admin some inane question about its owners, not letting on that I already knew. "You're asking who owns MPL sir?!" she responded with disbelief in her voice, "Why, this is the office for Sir Paul McCartney (you idiot)!"
"Hmm, never heard of him" I replied.
*But now for a better story. A few years prior, an acquaintance of mine who ran a Toronto record shop named for a Beatles song had been visiting his birthplace London, when he got a tip informing him when Macca would be visiting MPL later that day. My acquaintance positioned himself outside MPL and sure enough right on time, the former Beatle arrived in a limo. My acquaintance then introduced himself and got permission for a photo to be taken of them together.
The resultant excellent image was later enlarged, matted and framed. For years, it took pride of place right above the cash register at the Toronto record shop in question. I was thrilled for that acquaintance's luck. He deserved it after some personal tragedies.
