Any reviews on Mousetrap show? is it recommended?

The reason people go to see The Mousetrap is that it’s been running since 1952 and so it’s become a tourist attraction purely for how long it’s been going.

The play itself is only okay - a very standard Agatha Christie whodunnit, a bit old-fashioned and staid.

There are many better plays in London but go to The Mousetrap if you want to be part of the history.

I'm not a theatre goer, but that's the very reason it's on the list for my next trip to London, just to see what the fuss is about.

Considering that the play has run continuously for over 70 years, how bad could it be? No its probably not the most riveting theatre playing at any given time, just as an Agatha Christie novel won't be the most rivetting mystery novel available at any given time. I found it entertaining and enjoyable, nonetheless.

I finally caved and went to see it in 2019. I regret that decision.

We love it, been twice. And i’d happily go again. If you’re an Agatha Christie fan it’s very fun… for the theater itself, the retro experience, the story, the acting, and the stage set. If you’re not an AC fan, i’d say pass on it.

been once, several years ago. Enjoyed it. Would go again, but since I don't go into close (crowded) places indoors at all at the moment it will be while yet.

In my lifetime have read all of Christie’s books.

Huge fan of London travel. Been many times.

Instead of the venerable Mouse Trap I suggest you see Christie’s Witness For The Prosecution. The production is set in an actual courtroom. Saw it in 2021. Very well done!

I saw it several decades ago, I'm far from an Agatha Christie fan as one can get, I surprisingly really enjoyed it. It was a bit of a living time capsule then (which is part of its attraction), moreso now, as I venture it has hardly changed in the interim. Go for it!

It's been around forever, read some reviews and decide if it's your cup of tea. There are many many other choices.

Go for it. I've seen it twice here in Ontario, at smallish venues. One production decent, the other very good.

Go see an exceptional play in London. Agatha Christie Mousetrap has been around forever, BUT it won’t really be an amazing experience of a show.

See Wicked or something

Ha, i did not like Wicked at all.
Wicked is a musical, Mousetrap is a very good play.

My objection was to the play itself, not the acting or the direction. It made me think of the sort of plays high school senior classes put on. I've had that experience in London previously--weak material done well.

Sorry.
