MORNINGTON HOTELS In London

Anybody have any experience with these hotels? They look very nice, but some of the reviews on Google are harsh.

I don't have any experience with Mornington Hotels, but if you are looking for a decent quality chain hotel, my vote would go to Premier Inns. I've stayed at a number of them, and they are consistently clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced. They have them all over London and the rest of the UK.

Which area are you looking to stay in? I booked 5 nights at the Premier Inn County Hall for next spring, and really like that location (South Bank near Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Station). Here is a link to a thread I started a few months ago asking for recs for various Premier Inns in London, which you might find useful. https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/england/requesting-opinions-of-certain-premier-inns-in-london

When looking at hotel reviews, I tend to look at Booking.com and Trip Advisor, discount the one and five star reviews, then reach an opinion.

There are a lot of those kind of hotels in London, and it’s very easy to make a Victorian terrace hotel look lovely on a website. The kind of issues you might want to consider in reviews are whether there’s a lift, is there AC (if that’s important to you) and any remarks on cleanliness. I haven’t stayed in any of this group’s hotels but I have stayed in similar-looking ones and they can feel a bit tired.

I've not stayed here either but one of their hotels, the Mornington Victor Hotel London Belgravia is implied that it is in Belgravia but looking at the map I don't think it is. I think it is in Pimlico. It's located on Belgrave Rd but that doesn't mean Belgravia. Not that that is a huge difference but it annoys me when marketing people try to make something located where it's not because it might seem more upscale. The Trip Advisor reviews don't seem too bad for this one but for the Mornington Victoria nearby there are some not-so-good reviews with concerns even if you throw out some of the 1 star ones.

Location of the Mornington Victor Hotel London Belgravia (which yes, is the full name of this accommodation)

Thank you for the responses. I am going to London on business, but extending my time there to do some vacationing since I've never been to London. I will be attending a conference at the QEii center so I'd like to be relatively close to that, but it seems the closer you get, the higher the rooms get. My total travel party will have 3 adults, so finding a room with 3 real beds (not a sofa bed or pull out) makes it even more difficult.
I like the Premier Inn as an option, but I can't see how to request 2 connecting or adjacent rooms. not the best website as many have commented elsewhere.

Look at the Premier Inn Victoria or County Hall.

Three beds in one room is a rarity.

If you don’t care about budget look at the Royal Horseguards Hotel.

Never stayed at a Mornington property.

Trying emailing the PI property you are interested in.
