Trans Penine Express has announced strikes on the following dates:

• Sunday 13­th March (00.01-23.5­9)

• Sunday 20­th March (00.01-23.5­9)

• Sunday 27­th March (00.01-23.5­9)

• Sunday 3rd April (00.01-23.59)

• Saturday 16th April (00.01) to Sunday 17th April (23.59)

• Saturday 30th April (00.01) to Sunday 1st May (23­.59)

• Saturday 4th June (00.01) to Sunday 5th June (23:59)

You may notice that includes Easter Weekend, the Early May bank holiday weekend, and the weekend of the Plantinum Jubilee.

TPE runs around northern England and into Scotland.

I've ridden with the company a few times. And every time, there has either been a delay or cancellation.

when they strike they don't get paid and rather than a day off they will probably be picketing.

Equity with their colleagues who have had raises and many managers have worked from home. They have worked on the trains with the public through the whole of covid with a pay freeze and now they are in an environment with nearly 10 percent inflation (300 percent inflation on their utility bills).
