More Lucy Worsley

The following was announced on my facebook page:

The BBC has commissioned a new series of Lucy Worsley Investigates for BBC Two with the historian tackling four new historic mysteries.

The show is made by BBC Studios Specialist Factual Unit and co-produced by PBS.

This time, Lucy Worsley will investigate the Gunpowder Plot, Bloody Mary, Jack the Ripper and the legacy of William the Conqueror’s invasion of 1066.

Furthermore Ms. Worsley wrote that she was currently in Paris investigating The Bayeux Tapestry and The Norman Conquest.

You wait a year for a new Lucy Worsley series and then two come along at once, just like a London bus!

Did you get the first season of this on PBS? I can see that's available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

Hello GerryM

I can not get iPlayer so I have to wait but fortunately I am a patient person. I do not think that it is currently available on PBS. We are not getting it on the TV Channel. Maybe on line?

Have you already seen the first couple of episodes?

EDIT. Lucy reported that she has been ill but is on the mend. That might explain the delay in her programs.

Great news! DW and I both love to watch Lucy Worsley on PBS. We wish we could have her tour us around Hampton Court Palace or other places! Dream on, I know ....

Since I was a schoolboy in London (ASL @ St John's Wood, for anyone else who went there) I've been fascinated by the Norman Conquest. Just in the last year I read The Last English King, by Julian Rathbone (yes, of that family, IIRC) - it's definitely worth a read.
