Something else to look forward to in London next year.
It’s only a few paintings, unfortunately. The Monet exhibition at the Royal Academy several years ago was far more comprehensive.
Well let’s jump in that old deLoren time machine and check out the exhibit at the Royal.....
But to a more serious point, this upcoming exhibit is TOTALLY different. Not just canvas but canvas paintings that were designed for and fit in homes, and their use in interior decoration. Some 80 pieces- Other paintings, tiles, decorative pieces....should be a very interesting and informative show. And after this extended lockdown it just might cause a few living room “decorative redos”....
Did the Rick "Best of Paris" last year and saw them large in that special room they have. Don't know about squeezing them down. I gave up on the Guide's ongoing description (earphones) and just stared.
I swear the patterns of light and shadow moved while watching.
