Milestone Hotel - London

The Trip Advisor reviews sound great, but couldn't find any topics here on the Milestone Hotel in London. Does anyone have personal experience with it? Or other similar class hotels in the Kensington Gardens area? First trip to London and that seems to be the area we should be in for convenience to multiple locations? Any advice is welcome!

Way above my price range but I’ve walked by it more than once on my London sojourns. Ideally located close to Kensington Palace, Kensington Gardens Hyde Park.

Kensington is a one of the pricier London neighborhoods. Lots of Embassies. Numerous food options and plenty of high end shops to explore.

From the High Street Underground Station its less than 15 minutes on the Circle Line to Westminster and Parliament Square.

Go for it.

Kensington is OK and a popular location but it’s far from the only one. For me, it’s better to be further east and more central but it seems to suit a lot of visitors.

Not Kensington Gardens but South Kensington, further east as some other posters refer to, are similar lovely hotels in London we have enjoyed the Ampersand and the Pelham. Both are very near the South Kensington tube station which is on both the Picadilly Line direct from Heathrow and the Circle Line which is convenient for sightseeing.

We lived in the area for a year and have stayed in these hotels on other visits.

There are many locations in London that are close to the must-see tourist attractions.
Westminster is one.
Almost every area in London has luxury hotels. It's not difficult to find one.

The Milestone has received rave reviews here on this forum and on Trip Advisor, so if this is the location you want, go for it.

Thank you for all the great suggestions. Since we are travelling mid-October, do you find London hotels change their rates frequently, or should I book far in advance? We are flexible on location, but still want to get the best value for a higher end hotel.
