Following Friday's tragic rail accident the railway will be closed until at least Monday 29 June between Bedford and Luton. (for clarity closed until Friday 26 June, then scheduled engineering work next weekend).
The time scale may be extended as the investigation, recovery and reconstruction process unfolds.
East Midlands Trains are running services between Nottingham/Sheffield and Bedford only to amended timetables.
Cross Country, Avanti, LNWR and Cross Country are accepting tickets on all reasonable routes.
Limited Rail Replacement buses will run fast and semi fast between Luton Airport and Kettering, but there may not be enough capacity.
Thameslink trains are not running north of Luton, and are running an amended timetable south of Luton- which means fewer trains in the Central London Core, in Kent and from Gatwick Airport.
Commuters are being asked to work from home if possible, and others only if their journey is essential. Please use other modes of transport if possible.
