meeting up and going into London from Heathrow Terminals 3 and 5

We are flying into Heathrow Terminal 3 on American 20 minutes after son and fiance are flying into Heathrow Terminal 5. They are flying on British Airways so thought also Terminal 3 but now says Terminal 5 on British Airways Site. This throws a wrench into my plans.

My plan was for us to take bus to Victoria Station, they would stow luggage, and we would have lunch together. They are going to walk around London and then go to Gatwick later that evening to spend the night before an early morning flight to Portugal. We are continuing on by train to Canterbury.

Is there a way to meet up at Heathrow when you come into different terminals? I recall taking a bus from terminal to terminal but you had to have a boarding pass which we would not.

I have taken train from Victoria station to Gatwick and we can take a train to Canterbury from Victoria station which is why I thought of going there. Are there better options?

There is another obvious option to Victoria, but Victoria isn't wrong.

You can get trains from St Pancras to Canterbury which take about an hour rather than 90 minutes from Victoria - they cost a bit more. The Piccadilly line tube from Heathrow will also get you to St Pancras directly without the need to change as you would if you took the tube to Victoria. Both by tube will be faster than the coach and will cost £5.60pp. There are direct Thameslink trains from St Pancras to Gatwick as well.

There are hotels at all levels in the St Pancras area, from 3 different Premier Inns to the splendid Renaissance St Pancras, literally above the station. As you can probably tell I would go to St Pancras - I find the area around Victoria pretty dull. But it's fine.

BA's main base at Heathrow is at T5, although they do have a few flights from T3 as well. You could meet at the T2/3 tube station - the Piccadilly line runs from T5 to T2/3 and then on into London. Or just get to St Pancras or Victoria and then agree to meet at a cafe on the station, or at the hotel if close

Thank you. I knew you could get from St. Pancras to Canterbury but I did not know you could get from St. Pancras to Gatwick.

It does look easier to get to for us.

Some of the trains are only a bit more while others are a lot more.
