We have three different couples flying into terminal 2 at different times on Friday. Is it possible for the first couple to go to the gate where the second couple will be arriving to wait for them, and then for that group to go to the gate where the third couple will be arriving so that we can go through passport control together as a group? I'm hopeful we can avoid having the first couple being stuck standing around outside WH Smith for two hours waiting for the rest of us. Thanks!
What airport?
Suki - That would be helpful to provide! Heathrow
Where are they flying in from? I'm going to assume North America.

No....when you arrive you are ushered to passport control. You will not be mingling with other passengers. The waiting areas are to board flights at that gate and you can't access that until you clear passport control. (You would have to go through security again which technically you can't do since you don't have a boarding pass for another flight.)
However, at T2, there is a pub outside of security and after passport control and customs. (It's landside.) The Queens Arms. You could wait there.
Thank you - this was incredibly helpful
