If you check the Airbnb website under the listing “Fabulous Little Flat in Lyme Regis” the place is just that, Fabulous!

Stayed there last November.

Great hosts. Great price. Quiet. Off street parking. Easy walk into Lyme Regis.

We stayed in a fantastic little cottage near Bridport http://www.cottages.com/cottages/barters-cottage-dfl. It was a nice walk to the beach in Seatown which is fantastic for fossil hunting (our youngest found a huge ammonite simply lying on the beach). There's also a great little church just a short walk from the cottage which has an interesting museum dedicated to the church and surrounding area. It's also a short drive to Lyme Regis, 7 miles.

It's a very peaceful cottage and great for waking up to the sounds of pheasant, sheep and the odd braying donkey!

It is not exactly a Bed and Breakfast, but you might consider Lulworth House, owned and operated by HF Holidays.

They offer full board and guided activities (walking or sightseeing by van) if you wish. You will meet and socialize with interesting people, mainly Brits but other nationalities as well.

We have not been to Lulworth House yet, but our experience at the HK Holiday country home in the Lake District was very positive. The food was excellent, as were the accommodations (lakeview room with ensuite bath). And we enjoyed the camaraderie. We are planning on booking more 4-day holidays with them.

They have a set schedule, so the dates may not work out for you. But if they do, it is worth consideration.
