Looking for suggestions for somewhere to stop a couple of nights between the Cotswolds and Cornwall

Hello again,

We are still planning our September trip to the UK. We will be spending 6 nights in the Cotswolds and then heading to Cornwall. We have never been to Bath and wanted to stop there for 2 nights but we are having a hard time finding lodging. We have found a couple of affordable places that have vacancies but one of them has no cancellation policy, no refund and we are quite that sure of our itinerary yet. The other one only had 3 or 4 floor and I have bad knees. I'm fully expecting to have to climb one flight in most places but 3 or 4 is too much. We will be using public transport so we wanted to stay in the city centre.

If you have, either, ideas about options in Bath, or, ideas about another town to stop over on the way to Cornwall, I would very much appreciate hearing from you!

Thanks

Katie

Have you tried any of the Premier Inns in and around Bath? They have elevators.

Have you considered Wells? It's a lovely town with a gorgeous cathedral and a very walkable centre. It's a good central stop off between the Cotswolds and Cornwall too. You could also see Glastonbury easily from Wells. You could do a day trip to Bath either from Wells on on your way to Wells from the Cotswolds.

Check with the Brooks Guest House in Bath.
Also, if no success in Bath, consider stopping in Bath for touring and heading on to Wells for lodging.
