Looking for London places to sta

I’ve looked at previous posts about places to stay other than the central main London neighborhood, but the posts all seem to be from 2017. We’re looking for two single rooms in a place that has to have an elevator due to mobility issues and that might have the feel of the old B&Bs that were around when I visited 50 years ago. Does anyone have any current suggestions? I can’t afford $300 a night for a single, But I don’t want a $10 flop house either! I just love those old B&Bs. I stayed at in London and points north, but I don’t know now if they’re all on Airbnb or Vrbo websites now. Thanks!

When are you going? Entirely possible the going rates are $300 a night if it's peak summer or there are events on. Not sure what "the feel of the old B&Bs" means, but I suspect if you're wanting a property with an elevator then you likely give up a a chunk of the old world charm aspects of days gone by.

I suggest searching for options on Booking.com - after you put in your high level search parameters (London, dates, 2 adults, 2 rooms), on the left hand side of the results screen you can further refine by other criteria, including (way down at the bottom) room accessibility by elevator (or the entire unit is on the ground floor). You can use the map view to see where things are located outside the central core. You don't have to use Booking to make the reservation, but it is nice to use because the reviews can only be posted by people who have stayed at the property.
