Looking for advice on how to visit Wistman's Wood in Dartmoor National Park

Hello,

I am going to driving through Dartmoor National Park in a few weeks. I have seen many pictures of Wistman's Wood, and would like to take a relatively short hike to see the trees.

Has anyone hiked into Wistman's Wood section that is close to Two Bridges?

Looking for advice, and also maps of Wistman's Wood.

It's a popular walk - fairly flat and easy (gentle slopes), but surface can be a bit rough so not recommended for pushchairs. The circular walk from Two Bridges is about 5 miles, so should be doable in about 2 hours. Beware Dartmoor weather is notoriously changeable, so make sure you check the forecast and go suitably prepared - http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/gbvptggff
