Looking for a Hotel or Apartment in Central London for a Family of 4

Hi Everyone,

Any recommendations for a hotel or apartment for a family of 4 in Central London, close to the tube, with enough beds to accommodate everyone and with AC!! Right now I have a reservation for the Lincoln Suites but it's about 2,600 for 5 nights and I'm looking for something a bit more affordable for this summer.

Thank you!
Stephanie

hey hey steph.medina4
what are your dates and family of 4 consists of kids, what ages? it's high season and it's late now to get what you're hoping/wanting for. many hotels as in budget, maximum 4 for safety issues, don't know room/bed configuration, if sofa bed it's small and if older & taller person, feet may hang off bed and very uncomfortable. been there done
look at booking.com, airbnb/vrbo for your gang. if you find something, book it. london is an expensive city like many other cities around europe. hope you find what you want, any activities need to be booked ASAP since some are date & time slots, or at this time
sold out

In order to get air conditioning, you are almost certainly looking at hotels and aparthotels (such as the one you already have booked) because A/C is pretty unusual in domestic apartments.

I think that price is what I would expect in central London in the summer for an aparthotel sleeping that configuration.

It’s worth checking out Booking.Com to see what else is out there. And you could look at a couple of other aparthotel brands (Locke, Native, Marlin) but you may find they’re coming up at similar prices.

I seem to remember that the various Park Plaza hotels have some family rooms or suites that might work for you. There are a couple of neighbouring hotels just south of Westminster Bridge near Waterloo. But they tend to be one double bed and one sofa bed. I don’t know if that works for your family.

I just did a quick check at the Premier Inn site and did a dummy booking for 2 adults and 2 kids in mid-July for 5 nights. and came up with around £850. I don't know your dates or if there are 2 adults and 2 kids (must be younger than 16 to qualify for a family room) but it's worth checking out.

The Premier Inn County Hall is a good location. Their family rooms were fully booked on July 16-21 but might be open on your dates. You could also check Premier Inn Waterloo, which is just up the street from County Hall, London PI Paddington, or London PI Victoria. They're all over London. The Premier Inn Holborn is somewhat near Lincoln Suites, as is the Premier Inn Leicester Square.

Premier Inns are a chain hotel based in the UK. I've stayed at a number of them (as have others here on this forum) and it's a good option, especially for families. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. They offer a continental breakfast or cooked breakfast for an additional cost. If you're looking to save money, it's definitely a good option. https://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/home.html

By the way, as others have mentioned, you will get more help if you give us more information. Dates and ages of children would definitely help.

Premier Inn family rooms only work if the kids are under 16. They only allow 2 adults in a room and kids 16 and older are treated as adults. However, you still may find that 2 rooms at a Premier Inn are less expensive than 2600 (is that dollars or pounds).

We were in London during the September 2023 heatwave, temps in the 90s. I hadn't even thought about AC when I booked, but our Premier Inn room with AC was wonderful. And we were always able to get large glasses of ice to take back to the room.

Premier Inns lack charm, but our room was clean, quiet, comfortable and cool.
