Long term places to stay

Anyone know of good places to stay for a month or two in London or Dublin or Scotland? Doesn't have to be hotel type of place, just need somewhere that has laundry facilities and maid service. Not finding any great options on AirBnb.

We've had good luck using Homeaway.com and VRBO.com for long term, self catering stays. Can usually get some very good deals on monthly contracts, depending upon the season, etc.

We need more info - when, size of accommodation, budget in GBP, please etc etc.

You are unlikely to get maid service for an apartment rental - you will need a hotel for this.

For what you want, the term is "serviced apartments." They are apartment houses that are run like hotels. There is a front desk and maid service but you get a full apartment.

They are not cheap.

One place I know of but have never stayed is #1 The Mansions

Another term to use when looking in Scotland is self-catering. (It may be the same in England, but I don't personally know.) Also look for short term holiday lets. A quick google brought up this site for Edinburgh. If you go to VisitScotland the accommodations tab gives you the option of self-catering. That may give you some more options.

Try Citadines in London. They have several locations. Professionally-managed apart'hotel that has studios up to 2 bedrooms with maid service and laundry facilities. Given that you are interested in staying for a full month (possibly 2 months), I would suggest you email or call direct to whichever one you are interested in and inquire about special rates for a long-term stay to see if you can get a discount.

VRBO is another option. We rented a 3 BR this year in Paris from VRBO and it came with 1 cleaning per week. You can always ask an owner on VRBO or AirBnB if they can arrange for extra cleanings of the unit while you are there (just expect to pay an additional cost for that extra service, of course).
