London with Wife

London is the one European city I have the most history with, but of course there are things I haven’t done after multiple visits—one being traveling with my wife. Hoping to make this first time together a little more special.

We will be in London for St. Patrick’s Day so hoping for all parade, pub and activity suggestions.

In addition, information on any unique photo op locations or lesser known places of interest for couples would be of great interest. Thanks!

Look at London Walks. You should find the perfect walk there!
As far as St. Patrick’s Day in London, I haven’t any idea since it is an Irish holiday.

Canal cruise from “Little Venice,” thru tunnels, past the London Zoo, and to the Camden Market. The market itself wasn’t appealing for lunch, but we found a nice restaurant a couple blocks away in Camden.

If the Banqueting House is open, the paintings on the ceiling by Reubens are amazing. Maybe you two would enjoy the costumes there for a photo op, maybe not, but dressing up like Charles II and a Lady-in-Waiting might be fun.

Afternoon tea at Fortnum and Mason? We had an enjoyable and romantic time.

I think that Claudia's is a different one, or at least the link is different.

Oops, yes, you are right, Nigel! I guess no coincidence after all! Claudia's link actually has a cool shot of Trafalgar Square on St. Patty's Day!
