Hi I'm traveling to london in the next few days and want to ask what the weather is like today? Do I need a lined jacket/coat or would a light hoodie or thin jacket be enough? I come from Southeast Asia where temperature is now a scorching 37C! Appreciate your tips thanks!

The weather today is mainly sunny, maximum 24C. Increasingly showery as the week goes on, maximum coming down to 18C which is around average. Night minima are around 10C.

Light layers that you can add easily are usually fine for summer in Europe. I rely www.weather.com or their mobile app for the latest forecasts.

When I was there last week, the TV weather forecasters and papers spoke of a "heat wave", on the 17th and 18th it actually got up to 24C. Some local younger gals were wearing shorts and there was even blue sky!
That weather is not typical, however.
