What can I expect for weather in London in mid May? We arrive in London for 6 nights beginning May 13th then to Paris for a week starting May 19. Just wondering how to plan what to pack & what to expect. Thanks!

But this year may be totally different. :-)
Take a water proof coat or at least a poncho. Was there in May of 2011. One day of heavy rain. 2 day semi gray days and 4 days of glorious sun. Grateful I'd had my well traveled Patagonia rain coat with me. Also had a pair of jeans, light weight Keen lace up Presido shoes, 1 light weight Therma Check fleece, 1 pullover, 4 blouses, 1 pair of capris and sandals. Wore them all. FYI, travel with a carry-on bag and the aforementioned items packed easily. The week in London was add on to a week I'd spent in Istanbul. Simply saying you can pack one bag for two weeks and two different cities. Husband would have his own carry on. Two wonderful cities. Enjoy your stays.

UK Outlook for Thursday 8 May 2014 to Thursday 22 May 2014:
There remain no strong, discernible signals for any particular weather type to dominate through this period, although western parts look likely to remain most settled. Elsewhere, conditions are more likely than not to be mixed, with showers or longer outbreaks of rain, interspersed with periods of largely fine and dry weather. By day, temperatures are likely to often be near average, which at this time of year would leave conditions feeling pleasant in sunshine when winds are light. Southern regions probably have the best chance of above average maxima. Where more settled conditions persist, nights may still be chilly with a touch of frost possible.
