London Walks Day Trips

Hi, I'll be in England in late May/early June and I'm thinking of doing a London Walks day trip to Salisbury and Stonehenge. I notice on the site it says the price includes the train fare and entry to sites, and that kids under 15 go free (my two daughters will be 13 and 9). Does this mean that your kids just need to tag along with you and they are free? Even on the train and into the sites? Or do I have to buy train tickets for them (I don't mind that) and site admissions, just the guide fee is free? I just like to know the actual price before I show up. And the kids free thing just sounds too good to be true, and you know what they say about that.
Wondering if anyone has had experience with this. Thanks!

I believe there is some confusion. I think London Walks handles just the fee for the guides, though it attempts to provide accurate information about rail fares and entry fees for planning purposes.

I was unable to find a description of the Salisbury/Stonehenge walk on the company website, but I believe it's just the guide's fee that is waived for children. Entry fees might be lower for kids, though. And there might be a special deal on rail fares, too.

The train won't be free for children neither will entrance to Stonehenge. I can't imagine London Walks absorbing those two costs so I would suspect the only free part is the guide.

The general rule on train tickets in England is that children between 5 and 15 are half the adult fare.

Hi, agree with above - expect the guide fee is the only thing with no charge. But why don't you email them and ask?

I did this walk a few years ago with Simon. Stonehenge not my thing. But glad I've done it.

Do email them. They are very quick to answer and will be able to tell you exactly how much money you need to have on hand to give the guide. When I emailed earlier about a day trip they explained that I was not to purchase my train tickets - just show up and the guide would purchase for the group at a discount.

Thank you David. I emailed them earlier today and haven't heard back yet, but this helps a lot!
