My mother (76), daughter (2.5), and I (44) are spending a few days in London before we meet up with my husband and go to Salisbury. We have a few days in the city and are staying in Camden/Primrose. I’d love suggestions of things we could do with my daughter. My mom is staying after for tours and more sight seeing, and I’ve been to London a few times, so we are looking for some other ideas for my daughter to enjoy. Thank you!!
Coram's fields is great for kids of all ages

Peppa pig afternoon tea bus tour is great (unsure if peppa pig is more of a british thing though)

At 2 years old I found my kids far too young for a museum, and needed to keep things simple - food or play generally. If you can get a hotel with a pool that's always fun too.
Mudchute Farm
Riding the tube
The Cablecars
Diana Memorial Playground
Crystal Palace Dinosaurs
Holland Park Playground
Watching the feeding of the Hyde Park Pelicans
If you’re in Primrose Hill (not just ‘Primrose’), then you’re very near London Zoo in Regent’s Park. My godchildren loved it at that age
She’s very little. Children that age like riding the bus in my experience. If she’s still in a pushchair the bus is far more accessible as you can simply wheel it on unfolded, although you will have to move if the space is needed by a wheelchair user (rare).
Otherwise I agree with the usual parks, zoo etc. The Natural History Museum has parts that appeal to very young children. Tate Modern is the best gallery to take them to. It has a huge central area where there are always toddlers wandering about and afterwards you can walk along the South Bank with street entertainers that she will enjoy. When you get to the London Eye there’s a nice playground.
I agree with Helen. A small child will love sitting in the top front seats of a double decker bus. Look up TfLs tourist routes and add in the number 26
The Pelicans are in St James”s park not Hyde Park.
Having a granddaughter who is now coming up to 4 and lives in East London we have spent plenty of time with her all round the city. Everything mentioned above makes sense. I would just add a ride on the DLR, where if you're lucky you can sit at the front and pretend to drive the driverless trains. Also the Young V&A in Bethnal Green will be perfect for her.
The Diana Memorial Playground was always a massive hit with my nephews when they visited me in London.
It has been closed for refurbishment but it says it is opening in ‘Summer 2026’ so hopefully they mean soon.
The Diana Memorial Fountain is also good for a paddle.
