Been traveling to London since Nixon was in office.

What’s a visitor pass?

If it's a question (not sure it is??) then my answer would be the best option is not to have a pass. Work out what you want to see, and (if required) book it. Personally I doubt a pass would save money for most people, and you would end up rushing around trying to get value from your pass. Remember that the big museums in London are free (donations welcome), and there're lots of other free things to do like visit some of the huge parks etc.

Are you planning on doing something outside of London as well?

There are lots of different passes around - National Trust, English Heritage offer passes for their properties, covering the whole of England (and Wales for the NT). There is a London Pass.

However you need to do the maths and work out whether they provide good value. For many people the London Pass doesn't as you just can't cram enough places in to recoup the initial cost.

It is very unlikely that a London Pass will make good financial success. there are a whole range of places to see that wouldn't be on most people's lists as priorities and of course some of the very best museums and galleries are free to enter.

Interesting this is first and only post by the OP and that there’s been no further posts….or thanks or queries.

Claudia - it occurs to me that the OP might have been put off by some of the more… ummmm… brusque replies. :-)

Not everyone communicates flawlessly on a message board, or knows how to finesse a question, or even what - exactly - they are looking for, especially if it is their first time here. So perhaps the OP thought they were asking a legit question that folks would understand, and got scared off by the replies they got.

Or maybe not. I don’t know.
