Uber has so irritated the London Black Cabs with their unlicensed taxis that have illegal meters and pay no fees that the Black Cabs will stop traffic in London today.

The court case as to whether the Uber system constitutes a meter hasn't ruled yet.
It is peculiar though why meters aren't allowed in minicabs in London, when they are everywhere else in the country.

This 'protest' has probably amounted to considerable free advertising for Uber rather than anything else.
