Train takes about 50 minutes - travelling at up to 125mph. That is the best way to go = from London Kings Cross.

You should be able to do it for about £12 each way. I just checked for today & see I could purchase a ticket for the 9.08 for £14 one way. However, to have the greatest choice of times with lowest fares, it is best to pre-book specific trains about 11 weeks ahead.
