London to Cotswolds Tours

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations (either your own or perhaps Rick's) for tours from London to the Cotswolds.

We'd prefer a 1-nt tour in the Cotswolds with pick-up/drop-off in London. I've seen a few online (from cheaper "blitz" tours of the area to expensive but personalized tours.)

Thanks for your help!

There are occasional day trips to the Cotswolds with the company London Walks. ( www.walks.com ) They are not overnight trips so I don't know if they would meet your needs. I've done a number of the London Walks tours in London and they are usually a lot of fun with a knowledgeable guide.

Sometime I will manage to arrange a trip so I can do one of their day trips as well!

It would be easy enough for you to do it on your own. Take the early (7am) train from Paddington Station in London to Moreton-in-the-Marsh, it's an hour and 40 minute ride. From Moreton you can get a bus to several villages, to name a few....Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campdon. Spend the night in one of the beautiful villages then take the train back to London the next evening, that gives you two full days in the Cotswolds.

We used Evan Evans day tours. We went to the Cotswold's, but only for one day. We didn't get to spend the night there. It was a lovely tour.
