We are arriving in London on Monday, August 31 which I just found out is a bank holiday. I am wondering what affect this might have., we have £ so not an issue. The website where I found this inf said public transportation might also be affected. Going to the London transport web site to check on things, the month of August ends on August 30 so that was of no help. Any of you Brits know how the Heathrow Express service might change on this particular day. Thanks ever so...
Bank Holidays mean trains will run to a Sunday service (fewer trains). There are no details on the TFL website indicating if there are any engineering works on this line. Most Brits will recommend that you don't bother with the Heathrow Express as it isn't worth the extra money. Use the tube instead.
Thank you, Jennifer.
The Heathrow Express sometimes lowers the price to travel on bank holiday weekends. You don't say where you are staying though to give advice as to whether the HEX makes any sense.
