Hi! We are arriving in London Stansted airport and our hotel is very close to Victoria Station. Can you kindly let me know what is the fastest/cheapest way to get to our hotel? We are arriving at May 21 at 11:20 a.m.
Then going back-what is the best way from Victoria Station to London Heathrow Airport?

From Stansted take the Stansted Express train to Tottenham Hale station. Then change onto the Victoria Line and take the tube to Victoria.

From Victoria, take the Victoria Line tube to Hammersmith then change onto the Piccadilly Line to Heathrow.

I think ramblin' on made a typo - it's the District Line from Victoria to Hammersmith. Otherwise agree.

I agree that's the right connection, at Tottenham Hale, but be prepared as some Stansted Express trains fail to stop at Tottenham Hale for some reason (I've had it happen both inbound and outbound).
If you don't stop at Tottenham Hale, not to worry, continue to the terminus at Liverpool Street station, and make your way to Victoria by Tube (Circle line clockwise).

A number of private coach companies (i.e. 'bus') compete to carry plane passengers into the city, which keeps prices moderate. It will probably take about a half hour longer than the train but you can find service that goes to Victoria train station without any changes.

I have used the National Express coach service from Stansted to Heathrow and it is very easy and fairly cheap if you plan ahead. There are a number of buses that leave Stansted for Victoria Station each day. http://www.nationalexpress.com/routes/stansted-to-london.aspx . The journey is a bout 1 hour and 40 minutes (depending on Traffic). I like using the coaches. You can just sit back and relax and take a short nap on your way to London. (Seating is comfortable). Also, if there is rail disruption - this is an alternative plan. There are a lot of buses that leave Stansted and they all line up in the bays. But do double check the bus destination with the bay # as sometimes they seem to switch around and it makes it confusing for Tourists. Just ask if you are unsure which bus is the correct one. My brother lives near Stansted and honestly I prefer to use the bus to get to the Airport or into London - its is just more relaxing for me.
