London Premier Inns

Any feedback on the following PI hotels that I've narrowed down based on location?
County Hall, Westminster Bridge, Blackfriars, Bank Tower.
Also under consideration are Bankside if it has a bar/lounge and Lambeth Road, which seems to be a relatively new PI near the Imperial War Museum.
Thanks!

We have never used a Premier Inn, but are booked at the one near Victoria Station for a few days in July.

I'm one of several on the forum who have stayed at the County Hall location. It was a solid hotel, and the location was relatively convenient. There's a handy Marks & Spencer Food Hall about 1-1/2 blocks away.

When you get down near the Imperial War Museum, I don't think you have a choice of multiple Underground lines at the nearest station, which can mean more of your trips will require transfers. That wouldn't be my choice of location unless I planned to start several days by going to the IWM. The IWM is quite large; I think it took me 15-20 hours to get through the whole thing, so multiple visits to the museum would be a realistic plan for some visitors.

Here's another who has stayed at the County Hall location and liked it. The location is very convenient to many sites, and there are a number of take away places, like Gail's Bakery and the M&S that acraven mentioned. You can easily walk across the bridge to Westminster in 5-10 minutes. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

ETA: You can also reach other areas easily with a bit of walking. I like to walk so the distances don't bother me. One evening I walked to Covent Garden to see a show and my route took me over the Golden Jubilee Bridge. It was about a mile, and was a really lovely walk. It's also fun to see the colorful lights on the London Eye and the bridges and so on as you get back to the hotel in the evening.

Premier Inns are all exactly the same, which is great. Buses are the best way to get around unless you are going a long ways, as far as I am concerned - and cheaper than the tube. Google Maps shows bus information if you have data, otherwise, if pre downloaded, it is out of date. Indispensable. No need for other apps. So pick an area that might look good and go for it! Keep in mind that PI's use demand pricing.

Any of the PIs have a nice bar area separate from dining? From fotos it seems that Blackfriars might have areas for drink and socializing. Or perhaps we should just look for a pub close to whichever PI we end up selecting?

Another fan of County Hall PI. I do not recall the bar, but there are so many places to eat and drink in the area, you may not choose to stay in the hotel for that. County Hall is very much a convenient, central location, IMO.

OP if you choose the PI Blackfriars definitely visit the art deco Blackfriar pub. Short stroll from the PI. The pub is gorgeous.

All the PIs that I’ve been to have a restaurant set up, but the line between pub and restaurant is very blurry and it would be totally acceptable to just have a drink in any of them. You’re not required to buy food, but the tables are all the type of table you could eat at, if that makes sense. It’s the same space they use for breakfast.

PI Waterloo is just two blocks from County Hall . Consider it. I enjoyed my stay there.

I have also stayed at PI Paddington Station and PI St Pancras. Both were fine. Just pick the location that works best for you. They are all similar in services provided.

I’ve also stayed at the Waterloo location and it was a solid hotel. Very close to County Hall location I think. Easy to access the tube and Westminster area. No comment on bar question as I only ate breakfast there. I think you’d get more ambiance at a local pub, but can’t say for certain.

Happy New Year to all who kindly responded to my question!
We ended up booking the Waterloo (Westminster Bridge) P.I.! We chose a room with a view and prepaid for a lower rate. I love that we have until 28 days prior to arrival to get our money refunded.
Booking online is rather challenging with the box to enter Postcode not viable for us USers. Took awhile to figure out that I had to scroll down and click on United States from a drop down and then scroll up to enter my address. Success!
