Going to London for 10 days. What is the best travel pass to get.
Is it not easier to just tap and go with credit card?
Read the link below, and depending on where you're planning to travel, I think you'll find that contactless credit or debit card (which has a daily and weekly cap) is the best deal. Oyster is subject to the same cap but there is a £7 fee to get one:

Here's the info on paper travelcards, which do exist, but the maths has never worked for me, because I'm almost always traveling only in zones 1 and 2: https://tfl.gov.uk/fares/ways-to-pay/travelcards-and-group-tickets
Used debit or credit cards or your phone.
I’ll hop on the “just tap and go!” bandwagon.
The TFL computer system figures out the best fare for you based on journey/zone/daily cap. You don’t have to buy anything special or queue for machines.
Back in the day, travel passes used to save money and make a lot of sense, but these days they seem to be more trouble than they might be worth. Savings, if any, will be negligible, and not make up for missing out on the convenience of tap and go.
If you are really worried about using your phone to pay, or dropping your card while tapping on, you can buy peace of mind for the £7 (nonrefundable) cost of an Oyster card. (Bonus - the card itself will be a souvenir, and you can also lend it to friends who are headed to London! :-)
The cost of an Oyster card is rising from £7 to £10 in the next couple of weeks.
Johnew52, will my old Oyster card that I got for 5 gbp and have used on many trips still be valid?
Old oyster cards still work fine.
Apple or Samsung Watch works great and keeps your phone or cards secured on your person.
Another one for tap in/tap out. Each person will need their own card although they can be linked to the same account. The exception is if any of the group is eligible for a discount such as a young person or has a senior railcard. This discount function can be applied to an Oyster card.
Assuming you're from the US, tap either your physical credit card or your Apple Wallet credit card. Debit card is best for ATM cash only. I was in London for five days in June and had no problems using my Apple Wallet credit card on bus and tube including the Elizabeth Line from Heathrow to Hanover Square.
