London Pass worth it?

I found the London pass by go city online. Supposedly it was save our family of four a lot on tickets to things like the tower of London, the shard, Kensington Palace etc. Is it a good investment?

Only you can answer that. It's not something I would go for, given London is full of free museums and numerous sites not covered by the pass.

Personally I'd recommend looking at what you want to do, adding up thr cost of tickets, and then comparing it with thr London pass.

The danger of the London pass is that you end up rushing from site to site in an effort to justify the investment. I would generally allow for one major site a day, and tend to use the rest of the time just wandering and exploring. At most, you could probably manage two major sites a day. Remember that many of these places are huge, and traveling between sites take a while.

If you can share what you'd like to see, and how many days you have, people can provide better advice.

I guess it depends on your interests, but I think most of the best London attractions are actually free such as British Museum, National Gallery, V&A Museum, Tate Britain, St James's Park, Wallace Collection, Hyde Park, etc. I’ve bought museum passes before (not this one) and I think with the pass you tend to go to museums you normally wouldn’t go to just to make the pass worth it. I would go to the free ones that interest you and then pick and choose some of the paid ones, but no museum pass.

It can be worth it depending on what you want to see. The longer the duration of the London Pass, the better value it is. To say that “London has so many free places” is a bit simplistic if those are not the places that you really want to go to.

Plan your itinerary, price admissions and then price the London Pass. Then you will know if it is a good deal for you. I have used it before and did save money.
