London Parliament Visit Tour vs Audioguide

Our only option to see Parliament is on a Saturday in October and we're trying to decide if we should do the full tour or do it ourselves using the audio tour. This WILL be the first thing we do on our arrival day as it's the only time we can do it. Jet lag usually isn't a problem for us and we've always hit the ground running as our style of touring.

Thank you for opinions on the full tour vs audioguide!

Do the tour with a live person if you can afford it. It is more fun to me to be interactive meaning you can ask questions about stuff.

You have a point! It also means hubby can't rush along with the audiotour...... :)

Full tour but have you doubled check to be certain tours are still being offered. They'd been shut down after recent terror attacks. I bet the Keep Calm and Carry On attitude prevails but reconfirm availability.

Tours have been back on for those who had pre-purchased them, I believe. We aren't going until October and I haven't purchased tour tickets yet but will in the next couple of months just to have them paid for. I am leaning towards purchasing the tour tickets but given it is our arrival morning from the US I am torn. If we are feeling particularly jet-lagged then the audio tour would perhaps give us more flexibility in slowing down in some areas but speeding up in others. But again, knowing my husband and audio tours.......he's always way ahead of me! Tours are offered on Saturdays during our time there and our arrival day is our only option.

We have done both tours. Last August we did the tour with a "human-being". It was very enjoyable, yet tiring. You are NOT allowed to sit down during the tour, even though you are in the galleries.
